From The Desk of a Champion

Directly from a summer intern:

This past summer I have worked as an intern for Nationwide Children’s Hospital Foundation, directly with the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals team. To say that is has been eye-opening and a great learning interval would be an understatement. I have learned innumerable lessons while working at the NCH Foundation and will always be grateful for the experience I’ve had.

This summer I have done tons of store visits, researched schools and programs for dance marathon, composed plans for fundraising, worked with different stores to raise funds, and completed many other projects while working with CMN Hospitals. The mission of NCH and CMN Hospitals has a special place in my heart and has grown a love for kids and pediatrics. I’m considering working in pediatrics my entire career if possible! Working with kids has been incredibly fun. Helping provide them care, even in an indirect way, is an extremely rewarding experience. In my mind, it’s one of the greatest causes you could be working for in the world.

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is an incredible organization. The fact that they help raise so much money through corporate partners for children’s hospitals throughout the country has really impressed me. The partnership with Nationwide Children’s Hospital has benefited the kids in the Columbus area greatly with all of the funds the campaigns bring in. I have been amazed at how giving people are and how much good CMN Hospitals has provided.

Working with CMN Hospitals at NCH has been a wonderful introduction to the professional world. If anyone is considering it, I would highly recommend giving it a shot if you have the opportunity. You will not regret it.
