Celebrating the Lunar New Year with the teams at Panda Express – Nationwide Children’s Hospital

Join us on February 10, 2024, as we celebrate the start of the Lunar New Year, and the Year of the Dragon in the Chinese zodiac, with our friends at Panda Express!!

Lunar New Year brings together family, friends, and loved ones to welcome the new year with celebrations like festivals and enjoying a variety of lucky foods that are traditionally eaten for their symbolic meaning surrounding either their Chinese pronunciation or physical appearance—with individual dishes representing specific aspects of good fortune to come in the new year. On the last day of the 15-day celebration, thousands of red lanterns light the sky during the Lantern Festival!

Since 2007, Panda Express has been changing kids’ health to change the future at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals by raising millions of dollars throughout the year. Associates ask guests to round-up at the register, with every dollar donated creating a ripple effect in the community! In 2023, more than $20 million was raised for programs that support the whole child, including their mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well-being. Additionally, Panda Cares Centers of Hope spaces, which are hospital spaces designed to provide a safe and comforting place where kids can be kids again, while they are receiving the care they need to be the future leaders, inventors, and doctors of tomorrow!
