2016 Year in Review – Miracle Network Dance Marathon
2016 has been an incredible year for the Miracle Network Dance Marathon movement! With over 300 colleges and universities across North America raising funds and awareness for 170 local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, it is clear that this generation is fighting for the next and saving millions of kids’ lives. Below, you will find some highlights from the movement from over the past year.
First, congratulations to the top 15 highest fundraising programs from 2016, which collectively raised over $19 million for their local hospitals!
An additional congratulations to the top 15 highest fundraising programs from schools with less than 12,000 undergraduate students. On average, these schools raised $33.22 per undergraduate student on campus. Loras College Dance Marathon was the highest fundraising program per capita with an average of $138.00 raised per student on campus.
In 2016, more than 70 colleges and universities hosted their inaugural Miracle Network Dance Marathon event. It takes a great deal of bold and innovative leadership to make these events happen, so thank you to the student leaders at the following campuses for bringing their campus into the movement “For The Kids!”
This year, the Miracle Network Dance Marathon movement worked with two corporate partners on a national level. These partners are supporting programs by providing them with monetary and in-kind donations, helping to reduce operating costs and increase fundraising that will support the local hospitals. Thank you to Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores and Panda Express for their incredible support this year. We cannot wait to continue our partnership in 2016.
And now for the grand reveal…
In 2016, just over 300 college and university Miracle Network Dance Marathon programs collectively raised $31.4 million dollars, 100% of which will go directly to the 170 local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across North America!
